Fuel up early in the morning!
Fuels, like other liquids, are subject to change in volume depending on the temperature outside. Since gas stations have their tanks buried in the ground, fill up early in the morning when the ground is still "cool" to maximize your fuel savings.
Take your time at the pump!
When fuel is pumped from the tank to your car, a percentage of it turns into vapor. This vapor can either stay in the tank or escape through the nozzle. By filling your vehicle more slowly, you will eliminate the majority of the vapors and maximize your valuable fuel supply.
