Car Financing and Leasing

Financing

Maybe you're the type who loves your Volkswagen and wants to hold on to it for more than just 2-4 years. Or perhaps you just like shouting from the rooftops "Mine, all mine!". Whatever it is, if the prospect of buying a Volkswagen tickles your fancy, we can help make it happen.

When you buy (or "finance") a Volkswagen, you arrange to make monthly payments for the length of the loan. As soon as you pay that off, the vehicle is all yours. That's right. No kilometre restrictions. No charges for excess wear and tear! Just you and your Volkswagen and the open road.

Leasing

Think of it as renting. People who lease a Volkswagen pay for the vehicle for X amount of time. Depending on your needs, X can be anywhere from 1 to 5 years.

The length of the lease is up to you. On the one hand, the shorter the lease term, the sooner you can get a new Volkswagen. But on the other hand, the longer the lease term, the lower the payments will be. In either case, however, you typically pay less per month to lease a Volkswagen than someone who buys*. And that means more car for your money.

At the end of your lease, you get to decide whether you want to buy your Volkswagen or return it to Volkswagen Lauzon Blainville**.

If you think leasing may be right for you, talk to your Volkswagen Lauzon Blainville dealer. They'll be glad to explain everything.

* Subject to credit approval. ** There may be turn-in fees based on excess kilometers, wear and tear, damages and other applicable fees.

Wear & Tear

Nice wheels

When you return your vehicle, your Volkswagen should be in good shape. Of course there will be some normal wear and tear. But to help you assess what might be considered excess wear and tear, take a look at the Volkswagen Canada website. If you have excess wear and tear, you may consider having it repaired prior to turn-in to avoid being charged. For more information, feel free to contact us.

Reminder

When it's time for your vehicle's inspection, make sure you:

  • Clean up the car so the inspector can do a proper visual inspection.
  • Don't have any "Missing Equipment"! Please make sure all items that came with the car are available at the time of inspection.
  • Have all your scheduled maintenance performed. Just an FYI, the inspector will ask for your maintenance records.

All charges indicated on your vehicle inspection report will be billed on your Turn-in Settlement Invoice. To avoid these charges, have the necessary repairs made prior to the end of your contract. If repairs are made prior to the vehicle return, valid receipts must be faxed to Volkswagen Finance at 1 877 882-8224 prior to the return of the vehicle to ensure we appropriately credit your account.
